We are delighted to reveal the Medallists for the 2026 Primary Engineer MacRobert Medal, celebrating outstanding pupil-designed inventions that have been transformed into working prototypes by engineers, university and industry partners across the UK.
Each year, thousands of pupils take part in our ‘If you were an engineer, what would you do?’ Leaders Award competition, sharing innovative ideas designed to solve challenges they find. A select number of these ideas are chosen to be developed into prototypes through collaborations with universities and industry partners, before showcasing them at the prestigious Primary Engineer MacRobert Medal.
While Bronze, Silver, and Gold Medals will be awarded at the Award Ceremony in November, there is one special award decided by the public – the Commendation Award.
