Young children are natural engineers! The Early Years Engineer Programme fosters engineering skills such as curiosity, problem-solving and a child’s desire to understand how things work.  

 

All learning experiences have been designed to engage children with practical activities which provide a foundation for embedding future learning. Exploration and investigation are at the heart of the highquality planned learning experiences; all of which have been designed to spark curiosity and creativity. 

 

Learners will have the opportunity, through fun and engaging activities, to develop their Growth Mindset, resilience, perseverance and collaboration 

 

This cross-curricular programme allows Early Years Foundation learners to engage in grouped practical engineering activities, to provide a foundation for embedding future learning. Engineering exploration and investigation spark curiosity and creativity enabling learners to develop their Growth Mindset, resilience, perseverance and collaboration.

We provide training for one teacher and complete kits for a class of 30 children aged 4-6: 

 

All teachers on the programme will receive:

 

Free kit for x30 learners working in groups.

 

One half-full day of teacher training, preparing teachers to deliver the project in class.

 

A full kit of tools, materials and consumables needed to engage a series of practical

engineering activities and all the digital resources required for classroom delivery.

 

Once signed up, teachers will receive their training date where they will join the rest

of the cohort to learn all the skills required to teach engineering in the classroom.

The full-day training is highly practical & informative and aimed at not only

providing training but also increased confidence in delivering STEM-based whole class projects. 

 

The programme then rounds off with an In-School celebration event that invites all

learners to celebrate their engineering skills and achievements.
