A Sound Design: Samuel’s ‘Hearing Band Cochlear’ unveiled by The Newark College and the Air and Space Institute
Samuel created ‘The Hearing Band Cochlear’ to help individuals like his cousin, who has autism and can find conventional hearing aids uncomfortable or overwhelming. His innovative concept reimagines hearing assistance by using a wearable headband that transmits sound vibrations directly through bone conduction.
The finished prototype, created by The Newark College and the Air and Space Institute, was officially unveiled on 26th July at the East Central England regional award ceremony hosted at University of Lincoln.
