Tyne & Wear Training

Tuesday 16th October 2018 saw us delivering a Primary Engineer®  course at the SASMI Centre at Nissan with teachers from the local area. We had primary school teachers from North and South Tyneside, Durham, Sunderland and Teeside that were supported by South Tyneside Council; Adient; North East Automotive Alliance; Komatsu; Evolution 360 and Nissan.

At the beginning of the training session, the teachers seemed very curious and some felt they wouldn’t be able to accomplish the task! However, towards the end of the training event, there was a completely different outlook. At this point, the teachers felt comfortable and confident about carrying out the project with their pupils.

One teacher said, “What a great way to encourage engineering into the new generation. The course is fun and highly motivating. I cannot wait to get back to school and reflect on what I have learnt today.”
