LICHFIELD EARLY YEARS

We travelled down to Lichfield Cathedral School to deliver Early Years training, illustrating how using shakers, hand puppets and Humpty Dumpty can be linked to engineering. Thanks to Carl Zeiss UK and BECS Link for funding the programme and Lichfield Cathedral School for their wonderful hospitality!

Following training in Lichfield of sixteen teachers from eleven schools we received some amazing feedback. Joanna Churton from Lichfield Cathedral School contacted us to let us know about the Early Engineers programme that was undertaken.

“I am writing to say that we were delighted with the training course yesterday and that the day was a huge success.  Nick and Liam did a great job and the delegates that took part had a very productive and engaging morning.”

She then goes on to say, “Many children are going to benefit from this event and the practitioners went home inspired with fresh ideas and appropriate activities and terminology to share with children. It was lovely also that Liam was able to meet briefly with our Year 4 team who were actually building their cars that same afternoon having benefitted from the STEM training last term –‘poetry in motion’ so to speak. So a very successful event all round; thank you to all at Primary Engineer.”
