A course for teachers to discover how engineering can be linked to their specific subject area – no matter what they teach

Every pupil has different strengths and capabilities, but do they recognise that their strengths could lead them to one of a huge array of careers within engineering? You will be able to identify those pupils whose creativity shines, those who love to discover how things work, those who ask questions and enjoy problem solving and those who see the beauty in design.

Every one of these pupils has a place within the world of engineering.

This course is fully accredited, fully funded and has cover costs included for teachers across the UK.

Every pupil has a place within the world of engineering

At the end, we had a chance to do a Q&A with three of the engineers who were there, and it was fantastic to hear about their different backgrounds. One of them had done a foundation apprenticeship, another had a zoology degree, and the third had completed an engineering degree. It showed that they were coming from many different angles.
There were also many types of engineering represented—it wasn’t just manufacturing. They talked about research and development, manufacturing, programming, and even additive manufacturing. It was just brilliant. I loved it!
