Primary Engineer are delighted to announce the availability of our latest project. Primary Engineer Primary and Community BLOODHOUND SSC.
This exciting primary project mirrors the attempt by Richard Noble, Andy Green and the engineers and scientists working together to break the World Land Speed record. BLOODHOUND SSC has been designed to act as a catalyst in galvanising a generation of Scientist, Engineers and Mathematicians through projects such as Primary Engineer. As with the real BLOODHOUND SSC there is a competition to achieve the fastest and best car. We will host an on-line league where pupils and teams can display there work and times. The competition rules can be found in the download area of the website.

Primary and Community Leagues
There are two leagues Primary and Community: the primary league is for children of primary age, the community league is for mixed aged teams which can include adults and secondary aged pupils but each Community Team must include at least one primary pupil.
Entry into the competition is free, resources are avalible in the donloads section of the website and curriculum resources are avalible to buy from the shop and described below. 

Primary BLOODHOUND SSC
Interactive Whiteboard resources (including the Promethean Activ Student Edition software to enable the software to run on any interactive whiteboard) cover the design process through to the making and evaluating. The interactive resource covers 120 pages including practical maths and science applied to a design and make activity. Also included are teachers (editable) lesson plans and a pupil workbook.

Pupil's paper based resources
Pupil's can use the workbook provided on the CD to record their work and investigations. The workbook is 32 pages long and contains sheets looking at the science and maths that are applied to this design tecnology activity.

Pupil's digital resources
Along side the pupils work book are a 36 page Students Flip Book which uses a flip chart that is fully editable for puils to create a digital record of their work, and the start of a PowerPoint presentation.

Lesson Plans
Suggested lesson plans are provided in editable Microsoft Word format.

Resources for schools
The Primary BLOODHOUND SSC project is avaliable to schools as a site licence which includes Promethean Activ Student Software. This which will enable the reource to run on any interactive whiteboard.
