Primary Engineer, is a 'not for profit' organisation dedicated to furthering design technology in Primary Schools sponsored by the Learning Grid, Promethean, EduVision, Keepmoat plc and the Royal Commission for the Exhibition of 1851.

Cross curricular, strong links are made to science, maths and ICT which are then practically applied by pupils to design technology activities reinforcing learning and understanding giving pupils an opportunity to discover 'primary engineering'.

Complete Primary Liaison course for secondary teachers to use and deliver to their primary colleagues.
Course Resources include the complete Structures and Mechanisms course on CD-ROM, pupil and teacher printable resources, CPD support to enable GTC recognition of teacher's work, links to Science and Engineer Ambassador scheme, CREST Star Investigators, certificates and information about running challenge activities. Each teacher receives a set of three books covering structures and mechanisms and curriculum guide..course resources.

Key Stage 2 - 3 transistion can be addressed via the project and links through primary liaison.
Designed by primary practioners with secondary teachers who have experience of primary liaison, the project aims to release teachers from designing and building resources - working directly with primary teachers rather than primary pupils. The skills knowledge and understanding becomes sustainable in the primary school and teachers can apply for professional recognition of their work through the GTC Teacher Learning Academy
